I am trying to find a way to refresh a cross-tab to apply formatting on data changed in real time through planning. So far ,I have tried the following:
1. Set the conditional formatting is defined in BEX.
In this case, the formatting is reflected at runtime since I have set Conditional formating to true.
The big problem here is that the conditional formatting is applied to data from the infoprovider only.
I.E, if I change data on an input ready keyfigure, the formatting is not applied until I save the planning data.
This of course defeats the purpose of have conditional formatting since the validation is done after saving.
2. OnResultChange event.
I tried setting conditional formatting to true onResultChange but the issue is the same as in the first point, data need to be saved first for formatting to be applied on new data.
3. Apply custom conditional formatting.
Next I have tried apply a custom conditional formatting using the getConditionalFormatValueExt method.
Here, is the issue is that my keyfigure is not recognized. Since here also the formatting is defined in bex, I am pretty sure I will face the face issue.
Can anybody help and advice if there is a way to make the conditional formatting dynamic in design studio?
